This is one of those twisted ideas. 'What would happen if...?' You fill in the rest, or I'll start it. I've tried it in my neopets LoZ Rp Guild, it turned out great! Hope we can have ten times the enjoyment! Let's start, shall we? Three guesses who I am.
~~~~~~~~~
How long has it been? Seven years? Yes, just around seven years has the Hero of Time been gone. It is said he disappeared or went back to the forest he came from. Who knows? He was just not there.
Seven long, grueling years; Hyrule had suffered. Something stirred, and now is growing. The same breathtaking wait before the storm had grown like a weed over Hyrule once the Hero left, almost everyone were desperate for it not to happen again. They would take any means, even if it was to destroy their own Hero. Mercenaries and bandits they accepted into their land, summoned by the Evil Leader. They accepted them sorrowfully to get rid of their Hero, there was no way he could stand up against him anyway...
Hyrule was not able to turn to their Royals, they were held hostage by the same evil that was thought banashed. No one went against him, no one had the power to, he promised not to do harm, he was only here for one person...
That one person, our Hero of Time, Link. It was true he had gone away. He had taken what felt about a months trip to Termina, though it was only three days, the rest he spent looking for his best of friends, the fairy Navi. He had become a lone wanderer, a ranger, mercenary; driving off the grime that had scattered. He had not wanted to make any big scene or event of any kind, he wanted some peace. Being a Hero can be tiredsome.
Link had grown fully into the young man he had past experienced, though now has the memories of what happened in between. There had been fun memories, some lonely, but he enjoyed them nevertheless. He was at peace, or so he thought. Inside, there was this deep, strong feeling of unsettled troubles yet to be solved, it worried him. He had the need to go back, back to Hyrule.
It only took about two weeks for him to travel at a steady pace to Hyrule. It was when the warm breeze of the familiar forest blew in his face when he breathed in deeply and sighed, "We're home."
His steed, Epona, grunted in response. She, too, was happy that they were at last in their homeland. As if jolted by renewed excitement, Epona jumped and sprinted on her own accord. "Whoa!" Link cried, grabbing the reins tightly at her outburst. He rode quickly and soon they fond themselves on the familiar Hyrule fields.
Zelda slowly woke up with a throbbing pain in her head. She sat up and stood up out of bed. When she walked to the window to open the curtains, she could hear a deep pounding steps coming from down the hall.It's him again..she thought with fear. Zelda then quickly crawled under her bed, when a few minutes later, the large wooden door thrust open.
"I know you're here missy...come on out for a little breakfast.."said the kind and gentle sounding voice. Zelda then slowly and carefully crawled out from underneath the bed. Suddenly, she felt someone grab her by her hair and pull her out from under when she was only halfway out. "You're so gullibe..you know that.."said the evil and cruel Ganon."You....."Zelda spat at him with fiery eyes as she tried to force him to let go of her, but he wouldn't.
He shook her forcedly with him still grasping her from her hair.He yelled"TELL ME WHERE IT IS, AND I MIGHT LET YOU LIVE ANOTHER DAY!!!".Zelda said nothing as Gannon spat out again,"I SAID TELL ME!!!"he yelled as he slapped her across the face with Zelda nearly ending up halfway across the dark room with blood covering her face."Now..listen here you..."Zelda slowly said as she tried to wipe her bloody face,"I have no idea where it is,ok? I told you yesterday as I told you many days before you oaf..I..have..no clue..".
So much had changed, both Link and Epona froze. The field were there, but everything felt darker. It was the uninviting feel of fear scratched at their hearts. Something told Link they weren't invited. Link dismounted and unequiped his pack from Epona, "Go..." he muttered to her. The horse, being stubborn as she was, didn't leave, but stayed put. Link ignored that and continued forward, heading to the gateway to Hyrule marketplace.
Zelda could now tell that Ganon was getting angry. He had grabbed her by her hair and spat out,"TELL ME NOW! YOU WENCH!"he threw her as she landed safely on the bed. "Will you just leave me alone?!?!"screamed Zelda. She wept softly as Ganon left the room slamming the door shut once more.
Unidentified screams and shouts can be heard echoing from the castle; just what was going on?! Link halted just outside of Lon Lon Ranch, the breeze brought that horrid sound to his long-ears and it did not leave him, like a grey rain cloud.
Link took a moment to take a good look around, to absorb the landscape, to discover what did change around Hyrule while he was gone. This was one puzzle he did not figure out. Link put what he shouldn't have aside, he wanted to give Zelda a visit, for old time's sake. He smiled, thinking of the look on her face once he showed himself and got lost in what he thought would be.
Link whooped, "I'm home!" and took off at a mad dash across the fields. It was such a good feeling to run in these fields again. He laughed, ran, let himself fall just to roll in the grass just to get up and run again. He was in this frenzy all the way to the Hyrule gate, just to find it drawn. Link stopped and caught his breath, wondering why the gate was up in broad daylight. His wonders were answered quickly.
"Who goes there?!" called an urgent voice from the top of the gate. The voice had come from a guard who peered over with an angryu stare. Link answered, or tried to, but was interuppted by sudden shouts.
"It's him!" Trumpets shouted, comotion was heard bustling on the other side of the gate. Link was startled and bewildered, all he could do was listen.
Link called up to the guard, "What's the matter?", but he was never answered. The guard was gone from that post and the bridge was being let down. Link shrugged it off, he'll find it all out once he gets inside. the sound of hoof beats made him pause; something was coming out. The gate was completely gone now, and Link could fully see just what was coming. Guards; those of the highly trained, the elite. They were charging out, with spears, bows, and swords.
Link stepped aside to let them through, but had no idea that their target, was him. They surrounded Link, the one's with spears pointed them down to aim at his chest and the one's with bows aimed at his head. Link's blue eyes widened in shock and even deeper confusion. He raised his hands over his head, "What's going on?" he asked. One rider dismounted and weaved throught the weapons to stand in front of him.
"You are the Hero, are you not?" the guard asked him. Link couldn't answer, all he could do was nod; it was kind of awkward admitting this. The guards looked at him in disgust and spat at Link's feet. "And some Hero you are." This remark clearly had the same disgust in it as his expression and slapped Link in the face.
The pupils in his eyes shrunk, "W-what do you mean?" Link managed to breathe.
"Silence!" the guard barked, "Get some irons!" One other man nodded and came forward with the shangles. The spears were raised and Link lowered his hands in no protest; he was going to handle this peacefully, surely something must have gotten mixed up. Link looked to each man in turn, hoping to get at least one sympathetic nod or reassurance. None gave him that reprieve.
Off his guard, Link was suddenly hit from behind and knocked forward. The impact forced the wind out of him; he coughed. On the ground, Link's arms were forced behind him as that one guard chained his hands together. When the man was done, he frowned and kicked Link in the gut. Link coughed and writhed in pain, curling into a ball. The guards around jeered in amusement, the man did it again.
"Some Hero you are..." the elite repeated.
Zelda was tired and weak.And after her long nap since Ganon's visit, she has cried herself asleep.She awoke in complete darkness, except a small candle that was lit that was sitting upon a small desk. Zelda went under her bed and got out a very long rope that she had made during her long stay in Ganon's home. She had been making this in hope of escape from him, and now her chance was here since she had finished it the other night. Zelda tied one end of the rope to the one of the bed posts closest to the window. Then with caution, Zelda let the rest of the rope fall down the open window. There weren't many guards, but most of them were around Ganon's quarters, so it would be easy to get out of the gate. Before she climbed out of the window, she quickly grabbed a small knife which she had saved long before she was captured. After taking a quick look at her room, she then climbed out the window and down the rope.
